My perfect idea of happiness is sharing a big bowl of pasta around a table with all of the people I love, preferably with a few enormous fluffy dogs at my feet. If I’m on the coast of the PNW or nearly anywhere in Italy, then I honestly wouldn’t need anything else. Except maybe bittersweet chocolate and deep red wine (but that’s a given). Native NE Ohioan, currently in Piemonte, Italy working on a Master’s in Gastronomy.

Happy Thanksgiving loves 🧡. Meet Me at the Long Table will return next Thursday. Adjusting to my new home and schedule has taken a bit of time, but I’ve not forgotten the importance of sharing our stories and our meals. That’s the entire reason I’m in Italy in the first place. I would also like to extend an invitation to anyone who would like to join us at the Table and submit a story and recipe for us to publish. I have one in the wings from @thedriftingspoon, which we will publish next month, but the Table is open to everyone and I love seeing what your food experiences are. Please DM me if you are interested. Grateful for you all. Hope you have a lovely day and stuff yourselves full of goodness. See you next Thursday at the Table. #meetmeatthelongtable #happythanksgiving #pumpkinsforever
Meet Me at the Long Table will be posting a bit later this week due to my first week of classes @unisg_official ☺️. I promise it’s worth the wait. Pumpkins (aka this zucca) will be involved. Plus cheese. See you soon at the Table! #meetmeatthelongtable #iturnintoapumpkinatmidnight #zuccaplease
This week on Meet Me at the Long Table, I celebrate some of my favorite things about October. First of all, fall is all about warm ovens and baking and I will share a recipe for a cake that I’ve made often. I’ve adapted it a bit to match my current settings - swapping in some hazelnut flour, adding dark chocolate and using buffalo ricotta. The cake turned out quite lovely in its new setting and I’m sure you can find a way to make it work for you as well. Along with the cake, I’ll be sharing a story of the many cakes I’ve eaten over the past two years with my two closest friends. It’s a celebration of sweet memories. Plus, all of our birthdays are this month, making it a month of celebrations. See you at the Table for something sweet to be shared today. Roasted root vegetables are one of my go to meals year round, but they feel especially right in the autumn. They take a bit of prep time, but what you are left with is an endless variety of delicious meals for the week. Today on #markettotable I’ll share my favorite way to roast with you today, as well as some toppings for these veggies. See you at the table on this cozy Monday. Link in the bio per usual ☺️. #meetmeatthelongtable #markettotable #braitaly #eatlocal #hugafarmer #rootveg #sageissexy #gremolata
It’s finally October and the air feels different. Though I’ve always found October a time for new beginnings, it is also a time where I’ve experienced endings and losses. These are all the pieces that make up life and we must appreciate what we have while we have it and also let it go with grace and love when it is time. Today on the blog, I will share a story about my dog Sadie, who passed away earlier this week. I learned a lot from this big-hearted dog and how she lived her life on this earth the past nine years. I’ll also share a recipe for a lunch Sadie would have sat next to me and begged for. It has some of her favorite things. Link to the recipe is in my bio. See you at the Table - bring your pups. #meetmeatthelongtable #newfielove #zucca #pumpkinsoup #autumn #suntoast
I never knew making a cookie would require so much patience until I tried making one in my apartment here in Bra. Different ingredients, different equipment and a slightly different cookie. But that’s ok as they were still absolutely delicious. Today on the blog I’ll share my favorite cookie recipe with you and how I’ve adapted it to work here in Italy. I’ll also be sharing a story about adaptation - both in recipes and in life. Grab a glass of milk and come join me at the Table. Link in the bio, as always. #meetmeatthelongtable #givemeacookie #chocolate #foodblogger #iatethewholeplate
