Meet Me at the Long Table is about stories and food – a weekly virtual dinner conversation. The tales and recipes that we share weekly are a way to connect with one another through one of the most basic yet treasured of human behaviors – the sharing of a meal.
Twice a month on Market to Table we will look a bit more closely at that food on our tables, highlighting recipes made with local ingredients in order to celebrate the food we can find in our own communities – made by the farmers and producers who work tirelessly to feed us, nurture us and make our meals – from the solo dinner to the grand banquet – something truly special.
And while what’s local to me may not be local to you, I hope the recipes you find here will inspire you to explore your own corner of the world – to meet your family farmers and artisanal producers, buy their wares and support them as they support you. New recipes will be posted on Mondays twice a month, beginning August 13th, 2018.
